This workshop is designed for all abilities, for those trying it out for the first time to those wishing to expand on their previous experiences . It is a friendly and fun introduction to glass fusion and design with Alison, owner of Goosey Glass.
A full day's workshop (starting at 10am, finishing at approximately 4.30pm) in our gorgeous 14th century listed studio located in Burford, the gateway to the Cotswolds.
During the day, you will learn;
- What is glass fusing?
- How to work with glass safely
- Introduction to tools and glass art techniques
- Learn to cut and handle glass with confidence whilst creating a minimum of 4 beautiful bespoke pieces of art
All materials and safety equipment is supplied along with a scrumptious picnic lunch and afternoon Cotswold cream tea provided by the local bakery, Bakery on the Hill (all dietary requirements will be catered for with pre orders taken). Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available throughout the workshop.
To ensure quality teaching, the class size will be kept to a maximum of 8 people.

Will I be able to take my pieces home on the day?
Firing; fusing & slumping (shaping), are overnight processes and will take place within 2 weeks of your workshop. Your lovely fused glass can be collected after that. If you can’t collect, I will arrange postage of your pieces to your home address.
What shall I wear?
It is a relaxed day, so comfortable clothing and covered or closed shoes would be perfect
