ALISON JONES CERAMICS

Alison Jones studied at Camberwell College of Applied Arts, London for a B.A.Hons degree in Ceramics.

Since graduating in 1995 she has taught pottery and figurative sculpture at Sunningwell School of Art, founded and teaches at Oxfordshire Arts and is a ceramics tutor at a variety of schools and community centres in the South Oxfordshire Area.

Her work consists of figurative, garden planters and Cornish sea side harbours and boats. Wherever Alison goes she draws and often her line drawings can be seen within her ceramics. Every piece is hand built using a variety of earthenware and stoneware clays. She uses commercial underglazes on harbours and boats as well as her own dry glazes on her garden planters and flowers.

Alison is member of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild and the Crafts Potters Association.
